The week so far...
Dec. 21st, 2004 09:29 pmOn the weekend, I did some work on the website for transferring it. Just renaming files, based on their future locations, blah blah blah.
On Monday, I went to a one-day job given to me by my temp agency. I was working at a factory that's about to close, and I think I know why.
In the section where I was working, there is a press, where foil is applied to fibreglass forms, ultimately used to insulate the spare tire racks of SUVs. To remove the pressed parts from the press, you have to partially bend in and reach in where the part is sitting on the mould. WHERE THE PRESS COULD COME DOWN AND REMOVE YOUR HAND AT ANY MINUTE!!!!! I ended up spending the time brushing loose bits of foil off the edges; sorry, but my hands and forearms aren't worth nine dollars an hour. (My temp agency will be receiving a call in the morning...)
Later that day, I created templates and finished uploading things to the website, which is now running smoothly--doubly so today, when I took out some junk code on all the templates and finished pages.
Today, my right wrist hurts. It is painful to bend my hand up, rotate my hand, write, and use a mouse in my right hand. Hopefully it'll be gone by tomorrow.
Now, to go soak my wrist--and the rest of me while I'm at it.
