A techie rant (sort of)

I was just looking at the site stats for Across the Pond. So far, 49% of our readers are using Mozilla-based browsers, and 40% using Internet Explorer-based browsers. However, on an individual browser basis, the majority of our readers use IE.

To all those using IE that read this (I doubt there are many), Get Firefox! Help us defeat the Dark Forces of Redmond!

Today was an improvement

Got a new wireless router. This time we got Netgear to replace an ailing Linksys router. The signal still goes up and down, but not as much as before. It's a bit faster, too, at times.

Took down my Christmas tree today. My mother and I have so many ornaments we can't fit them all on one tree, so we have two trees in two rooms. Hers is still in the process of coming down.

My cold's getting better slowly, but I've blown my nose so much I've rubbed it raw. And even though I got a lot of sleep, I was yawning for hours today.

Got my grades today. They were supposed to be up on the 24th, but the bad snowstorm we got that week closed the university offices, so they couldn't upload them to our records. My average for the term was 71%, but only because I dropped two of my five courses because I was failing, and another one is a year-long course so the grade doesn't show up until the end of next semester. One of my grades was 60%, and another was 82%. I haven't gotten a grade above 78% since high school!
