Trip to Toronto
May. 22nd, 2005 08:05 pmWent to Toronto with my mother to shop while she went to a baseball game with a friend. Went to a store that has a small Canadian art gallery on the top floor. Eight escalators and two flights of stairs to find out it closed in October and nobody told the guy who wrote about it in the newspaper last month.
Didn't have much money to work with at the bookstore, which was too bad because they had a copy of William the Conqueror's Domesday Book, printed in both Old and modern English. Got a book with the complete scripts of the original radio series The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, pre-books and TV miniseries.
Walked around a bit. My feet are very sore from walking about ten blocks, but it was worth it. Haven't seen much of Toronto.
We get home and there's a small dog in the backyard. Must have come through a hole we have in the gate so the cats can get through. It's back at its house now.
