Quiet today
Sep. 5th, 2005 10:56 pmWas woken up at five in the morning to a horrible screeching sound. Turns out two raccoons were trying to kill each other in a neighbour's tree. When I heard it, I thought someone was torturing a dog.
Edited and created few more Wiki entries in the last few days. I think I'm done with them for now. Just as well, considering I have to go back to school in a week. Bleah!
I found someone in town who's going to the same school who I might be able to carpool with. Hopefully it'll save money on gas.
Installed my father's old printer/scanner on the weekend. Don't need to use the one TigerLily sprayed on now, though it has near-full ink cartridges that I need to use. May have to use it eventually. One of our cats is going to the vet's tomorrow, so we'll ask why she's spraying everywhere AFTER she's been fixed!
Speaking of my father, now he's considering moving his small business' office to an actual office space and out of our basement. He's hoping that he'll get more business by advertising on the front of the building. It's hard to know which option to root for: on the one hand, it's expensive and prone to failure; on the other, it gets him out of the house.
I think I need to find more friends in this time zone. Whenever I'm available to talk, almost everyone I know online is either at work or asleep. And the two people I do know who are on roughly the same clock have lives of their own and don't have much time to talk online any more. I'm not sure what I'm more upset about--that they have real lives, or that I don't...
