Better and better and better...
Sep. 8th, 2005 06:16 pmA couple of good points today, for once. When I was at Staples, I met a few people I used to go to school with. Kind of nice to hear from them again. We also got a printer cartridge refilled for about half what it would cost to get a brand-new one.
11 days to my birthday and counting. I wonder what the next trip around the sun will hold. Hopefully it'll be a lot better than the one just ending.
My right-hand wrist is still hurting, so now I have it in a brace so I don't put it at the wrong angle. I think it's from using the mouse at a bad angle--it's not where it should be on my desk. Got a new mouse pad with a wrist support pad, so maybe that will work.
The wireless router stopped working mysteriously, so I had to reattach and reconfigure the old one. Very annoying to get it set up and not have it work again and again and again, let me assure you. So much for Netgear being top of the line.
Found out that one of the books I was going to get used and cheap for one of my classes is no longer being used for that class. I have four classes this semester, and they all have new book lists except one, which is using a new edition of an old book. It's supposed to be exactly the same as the old edition, though, so maybe I'll pick one up used.
I have applied to four different places for jobs, but haven't heard back and don't really expect to. Guess it's back to factories one or two days a week. I'd rather not work at McDonalds, but even that place is starting to look good. I really need to get a job soon if I plan to go to Dragon*con AND pay off my line of credit.
All things considered, wake me when it's next week. Or maybe not even then, because I'm just not in the mood.
