Oct. 6th, 2005 02:02 pmWell, I think I may have solved one of the problems with my computer. I think that the constant crashes were caused either by the driver for the printer I used to use, or by the software for my USB mini drive. I uninstalled both, and I'll see if the USB drive still causes crashes with the software uninstalled. Didn't really need the software, anyway. If it still causes problems, I'll just get a new one. I can get one with twice the capacity for almost half the price I paid for this one.
I uninstalled Trillian because I found a different program called GAIM. It's like a bare bones version of Trillian but including Google Talk, so I don't need two separate programs.
I also uninstalled two of my antispyware programs. They didn't find anything except the first time I searched with them, and they couldn't be missing anything because I also searched with two (reputable) online services. I still have Spybot running, so that should take care of it. Plus, I did a massive file purge today, mostly from my *cough* private files. Won't miss the stuff--plenty more where that came from.
Off to philosophy class!
[EDIT] Or not. It crashed as I tried to bring it out of hibernate in philosophy class. *sighs* back to the drawing board...
