Nov. 6th, 2005 09:03 pmWhile we were in Toronto, we visited the "World's Biggest Bookstore" and I got a book about English society just before the Second World War, a book of postcards of ancient Egyptian artifacts (75% off!), and a DVD of the Agatha Christie movie "Death on the Nile." Not my favourite portrayal of Poirot, but with a fantastic cast. Had fun seeing Les Miz. Didn't know anybody in it but enjoyed it just the same. Can't wait until the film comes out (they just announced it, so it might be a bit).
Caught up on almost all my reading (just some philosophy reading that is due at the end of the semester left over). But I have three papers that have to be handed in in two weeks that I need to work on. Yay. But right now I'm watching Masterpiece Theatre's version of Kidnapped. Not familiar with the book, but it's pretty good so far.
[EDIT]Paul McGann, the eighth actor to portray the Doctor in Doctor Who is in it! Didn't recognize him until I looked up the credits.
