Here's a weird one
Jan. 31st, 2006 09:02 pmOn my way to my car after work, I was wondering if my car would still be there. Where I work is in a low-income neighbourhood (the same one we live in) and it's a distinct possibility. We got a call after I get home from my father, who's still there: someone I work with had her car stolen. Weird.
Yesterday I got all my English homework done. As soon as I got home I cut the pages out of the workbook (I can't believe the company was too cheap to perforate the pages), stapled them together, and put them in my bag so I can't leave them at home by accident like last week.
I actually did something with my day today, instead of wasting it like usual. I went to class, had a shower, and did some research for my Reformation project. I'm planning to suggest that the Dutch, in the midst of Reformation fever, fought to eject the Spanish from their lands in the same way that Ferdinand and Isabella ejected the Moors from Spain about three-quarters of a century earlier, and that the Dutch wars were, in effect, a second Reconquista. I think I've got enough sources to work with, so it's just a matter of signing out all the books and getting at least 3500 words out of them before March 10th. Still need to start working on the other three assignments. One of them will be a group assignment--can't say I'm looking forward to it, but I know a couple of people in that class that I can probably stand to work with. One of them even has the same computer I do!
