Medical mystery

People are starting to talk about Morgellons Disease, a disease where you have itchy sores on your body that sometimes have fibres sticking out. Some doctors are just dismissing it as people who are aggravating existing sores and getting cloth fibres into it, but the fibres aren't on the FBI's hundred-thousand-strong fibre database, so people aren't so convinced any more.

I wonder if it's connected to this somehow, especially since some of the victims also come down with Lyme Disease (I know it's from ticks, but they've got to be related somehow).
