There and back again: Day 8
Sep. 1st, 2006 05:07 pmOr, "A Canadian in Atlanta."
First day of the sci-fi con, and a quick browse showed me that I am waaay out of my comfort zone. Some of the stuff there is just a bit too freaky for me. Fortunately I hadn't planned on doing much at the actual con. Most of my time will be spent meeting people, which I did in droves today. I met at least seven people I know on LJ, and many more off-LJ today.
Helped set up for a small room party I'm going to and browsed around the con again with a couple people in the afternoon. I'm just here for a quick net break and light dinner before heading back to the room party for sixish.
I'd also like to ask the praying types on here to say a quick one for
kheetor84, who is in pretty bad shape right now. At last update, the doctors hadn't found anything with tests and might have to do an exploratory operation on her. You can understand that I'm rather worried about her right about now :(
