Two essays in two days

I wrote just over 3000 words for my Celtic Britain and Ireland paper Sunday night and Monday morning (when I was hoping for 2200) and nearly 2200 words for my Modern India paper last night today (when I was hoping for 1900). Had to skip my first class of the day, but I did it. My minimums were 2500 and 2000 respectively, so my word counts are surprising to say the least!

Two down, two to go.

Techie trouble

Something inside the lid of my laptop (ibook G4) is rattling around in the space around the monitor. The only thing I can think of that could be loose is a part from the built-in microphone.

Secondly, and more importantly, the monitor sometimes has a tendency to flicker when I type or even move the computer slightly.

Thoughts, anyone? Am I about to lose my monitor to either bad connections or mysterious debris?

She's playing with a fur-covered mouse that we've had hanging around the house for a couple years. At first my mother thought she'd adopted it as a baby, but the way she plays with it we think she's saving it to eat later. She's tried to rip it open a couple times. But whenever we take it away from her she brings it back to her 'nest' to hang on to.
