Good Friday

My store is allowed to open partly on statutory holidays because we have a garden centre, and any store that sells live plants can sell them (and only them and some accessories) on statutory holidays--like Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I volunteered to work on both days (it's volunteer-only), since I could use the money.

I wasn't expecting to be very busy today, and it looks like I'm going to be right. It's currently -8*C/17*F and snowing. I can't imagine many people will be shopping for flowers and plants today.

Interesting turn of events. Lately, Oreo has been getting a bit heavy, but not fat--bloated. Don't know what it is for certain, but we do know that he's eaten the same kind of dry food that Teddy ate before his long car ride. Since one of the things we think he had was kidney failure, and since kidney failure is one of the things associated with that recalled cat food...

When I said that Pepper would probably outlive all the rest, I didn't mean it!
