The menagerie expands...
Aug. 21st, 2007 08:08 pmOur house is a sidesplit, and on the side that the bedrooms are in, there is a large storage area next to my bedroom wall and a balcony to the master bedroom behind it. As I am typing this, we have three young raccoons that have been living in our walls on that balcony investigating scraps of cat food.
They get into the walls through two drainage holes that connect the balcony floor to the gutters and downspouts (1970s residential architecture strikes again...) We want to plug the hole, but we're afraid that the three are still living with Mummy, and that Mummy doesn't come outside. If we blocked the hole with one of them inside, there would be Hell to pay.
So yeah, we've had raccoons at the back door before, but not in the house!
