"Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day said his government will not plead for the life of Alberta-born Ronald Allen Smith, who faces lethal injection in Montana for the 1982 murder of two men."
I think Stockwell Day needs to Google the name of someone else who was in charge of "Public Safety" and do some more thinking. Whether you agree with the death penalty or not (and I think there are plenty of times when it would be nice to see some sex offender or serial killer get executed very VERY slowly), you have to realize that this is not going to go over well with Canadians.
