This would have been a great web page to show my principal. He was convinced that there was red on the Canadian flag because we were as communist as the Soviet Union. When learning about the main themes of the Communist Manifesto, he read out the Canadian equivalents like Crown Corporations and the Bank of Canada. Never mind that a centralized bank like the Bank of England existed a century and a half before Marx was born...Ah, well; he's back in the US where he belongs.

Speaking of Canadian politics, I handed in two essays for Canadian Political History today--one for my seminar and my essay proposal for the paper I'll have to hand in seven weeks from now. Quite interesting to get those done. My essay will (hopefully) be a comparison of Canada's participation in the Boer War to our mission in Afghanistan. Both wars were questionable politically, divided Canadians, and were of questionable need to Canadian security, being pursued mainly to please our imperial masters (both of them). Now I just need to stretch that out into fifteen pages.

The drive home was very slooooowww because we had a snowstorm blow in during the day. Why it couldn't have blown in overnight so I didn't have to go into school I don't know...
