Graduation was on Monday, and I still feel like I could sleep for a month. Granted, working an eight-hour shift the day after probably didn't help any. I had the day off today, and spent most of it watching M*A*S*H on DVD. I think one of the disks is scratched--it kept stopping and playing erratically on one episode.
The wildlife is getting too skilled at taking out other wildlife. First it was the raccoons; my mother put a couple of goldfish from school in our freshly expanded pond, and wasn't too concerned about their fate because one had been acting a little sickly. As soon as they got in, however, they were full of life. At least until the raccoons showed up that night. Wounded a frog we'd attracted to the pond at the same time, that we think the cats helped finish off (might have started it, too).
Then, last night, a couple of the cats were playing with a frog in the pool and wounded it to the point that my mother had to put it out of its misery. Finally, today Tabs walked past the patio with a chipmunk in his mouth, and my mother had to get it away from him. *gestures at
usdutchkitty* You and I have to have a little chat about your son!
I have a part shift tomorrow, which is probably a good thing because I'm actually starting to get bored. Despite eyewitness statements to the contrary, you can only watch TV for so many hours. Only problem is that everything else costs money that I need to hang on to for later. So it's either work or boredom for the time being. Ah, well. I'll figure something out eventually.
