Today is swelling day...
Jul. 31st, 2008 12:58 pmNo ice packs, no heat packs, and I'm only being relieved by generic Tylenol-3s that don't do a thing to relieve my pain. I want Vicodin, dammit! If it's good enough for House, it's good enough for me!
I tried to eat cream of wheat for breakfast, but I couldn't eat a lot of it because of a) the soreness and b) the blandness of it. Added some brown sugar, but by then it had started to go clumpy. Not exactly easy to swallow clumps when you can only open your mouth half an inch. I'm thirsty as hell, though, so at least I'll be able to get my body hydrated again after being sick earlier in the week.
In other news, today will be spent lying around in pyjamas, watching M*A*S*H on DVD (I'm up to season 8 now) and reading my compliation collection of Thomas the Tank Engine books (the Christopher Awdry stories, not the ones his father wrote). I'm probably the only 22-year-old who reads Thomas the Tank Engine, but I don't care. I grew up dreaming of buying every single book, but when I finally had the money, they were all out of print and Amazon resellers were charging an arm and both legs. Fortunately, the publishers had the sense to put them all together in two mega-volumes!
