Canada's version of TV Land just rebranded itself as Comedy Gold and changed their programming lineup. Now I have the theme song from Mary Tyler Moore burrowing a hole in my brain >_<
It's a short week this week. They need me at the station for part of Sunday because they're having a seminar about getting on the radio, so I swapped my half-day on Friday for the half-day I'll be needed on Sunday. Works out well because I have a doctor's appointment at 3 on Friday and now I don't need to get from Mississauga to Cambridge in less than an hour.
In addition, today was a day off because it's Civic Holiday (known in TO as "Simcoe Day" in honour of Ontario's first Lieutenant-Governor, John Graves Simcoe). Quite the man, our John Graves--he founded Toronto, introduced English common law and trial by jury to what was then the colony of Upper Canada, and abolished slavery in 1793--making Ontario the first part of the British Empire to do so by decades.
Back on topic, thanks to Simcoe Day and my hour swap, I have a three-day week!
