When fandoms collide

Rumours are flying around regarding casting in The Hobbit. Among those proposed? Leonard Nimoy as Smaug and David Tennant as Thranduil. So far, that means that Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter will be represented in this film. If they get Harrison Ford or Mark Hammill and a Python in this thing I think the world will explode in one huge geek-gasm!
