During Roman rule of Britain, a Celtic female chieftain named Boudicea (boo-di-ca) led an uprising against the Romans after her husband's death, when their kingdom was taken over and her daughters raped by the Romans. She and several thousand Celts went on a rampage, burning Colchester and London before being defeated in battle, after which she committed suicide. However, it is unknown where she is buried. One legend states that after one last battle near London, she was buried just north of the city--somewhere under Platforms 9 and 10 at Kings Cross railway station.
