Sep. 11th, 2005 05:46 pmToday I sanded the top of a three-level bookshelf to remove the old varnish to refinish it. It didn't sand well, so we're going to have to get chemical stripper to get it off. We're hoping to stain it a darker colour to match my other furniture. Hope we can get it finished soon; some of my bookcases are getting rather full--one of them is starting to bend in the middle because the heaviest books are in the middle.
I'm also hoping to get a new desk. My desk is a bit too much for me, and I could use a little extra space in my room. There's a nice glass and metal desk I'd like to get (though it's too expensive at the moment) and put some of my other things on a small bookcase sitting empty in another room. My huge L-shaped desk can go to my father for his new office.
Go back to school tomorrow. I only have one class, but I need to be there for a couple hours longer to buy textbooks. I have to meet someone at three to buy two textbooks for 95 dollars. A bit of a while to wait, but it's better than paying 95 dollars for ONE of them.
My wrist is much better, but I imagine it'll hurt again soon.
