Went to my first class of the semester...and got the first assignment distributed. A three-thousand-word essay with at least 12 sources about something from Canadian history between the beginning of time and 1867, due November 1st. Lovely. But at least the second week of October, I don't have lectures in that class!

Got all my textbooks. About 250 dollars, but I got them all except my Canadian History textbooks, which I'll be buying used for much less than they cost new. The downside is I have to wait here until about three to buy them, so I've got three hours to kill. When I got the textbooks, I also got a "membership" card which gives me a 5% discount on all my purchases throughout the year and a chance to win big prizes. It cost ten dollars; my savings today: 12.50

An unexpected surprise today--I was waiting to go into class and someone from my old high school came up. He's going to Guelph in another program. Must say, it'll be nice to have a familiar face around the school.

It is very warm here. Especially if you have to walk half a mile each way between the parking lot and the school buildings carrying heavy bags.

I think that's everything. Next stop, lunch.

UPDATE.

Got my Canadian history textbooks. 95 dollars and the previous edition, which the professor says is little different from the new edition, and more worth purchasing than the new edition.

Lunch was fun. Got to sit with three lovely female first year students ;)

On the Freefall forum, they're discussing the other members of the Bowman's Wolf species. I'm getting a few compliments about my contribution.
