Nov. 30th, 2005 04:30 pmI'll be sending out the first batch of cards today. If anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll send one out afterwards. I apologize in advance for my awful handwriting! I just wish I'd remembered to use my return address labels. Oh well, next time.
At the same time, I'll be dropping off a resume at a new British-style pub that opened a couple weeks ago. What does it say about me that I'd rather work with drunks than kids? I'll be dropping an application off at my university's Hospitality Services office tomorrow.
Only one more day of classes left. Then it's exam time. Yay! After exams, I'll do another backup of my files and start the move to my Mac. Just in time, too--they're ending distribution of my favourite Windows freeware firewall.
EDIT: You know, you try to do something nice for your friends, and somebody has to ruin it. I got to the post office and asked for stamps for overseas, US, and Canada. I get regular, non-seasonal stamps for US and Canada and huge, hideous package stickers for the overseas ones.
"We only have the Christmas stamps in books of 12. We ran out of individual stamps."
So open a book of stamps and start selling them, you stupid bitch! Or at least give us other international stamps! When she asked if I wanted air mail stamps for the overseas cards, I nearly asked how much a book of them cost.
Dropped my resume off at that pub. It's not a gin joint-style place at all. It's actually quite classy--the only bar/restaurant I've seen that has chandeliers! It looks very nice.
