Dec. 1st, 2005 04:43 pmI think I ate too fast or too much (or both) at dinner yesterday. I've got a bit of indigestion today. Not pleasant. Oh well, it'll be gone by tomorrow or Saturday--never lasts more than a day or two.
I've finally finished my last day of regular classes. Fortunately it hended on a high note. I got my last two essay grades today from my Tudor/Stuart history and Political Theory classes: 85 percent. Not too shabby, especially considering I wrote my Political Theory paper in less than twelve hours.
The end of the semester couldn't come at a better moment. My wheeled laptop bag (the one the cat sprayed on) is shot. One of the wheels keeps locking up, mainly because it's gotten loose and misaligned on its rim so it keeps rubbing against the wheel well and can't roll properly. Hopefully it's still under warranty. If not, I'm back to using my green wheeled backpack that's more of a suitcase than a backpack. I have to get new earphones, too--I think I've damaged the wires in the earbuds I'm using.
Handed in the resume to Hospitality Services today. Finally, a job on campus that doesn't involve those magic words "work study." I'm beginning to think that the pub in town would be a better working atmosphere--this place is very fast-paced and high-stress. But if I do end up working here, I'll live. Anything's better than working with kids or spending thirty hours a night, eight nights a week in a dangerous, filthy factory.
Huh. They're planning a revitalization for three of the oldest stations on the Toronto subway--the ones nearest to the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the new opera house they're building. I like the decoration idea for Museum (lower left) but the other two suck. They could do so much better.
