An example of what history professors are up against

My mother was watching the news yesterday and the story was about Queen Elizabeth visiting the United States for the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown colony. They got sound bites from various people in the audience, and one woman said that it was so nice to see the Queen because 'we don't have anything like that' in the United States.

Would somebody get this woman a history book? Even a DVD of The Patriot would do!
