The human intellect...
Oct. 5th, 2007 10:08 pm...never ceases to displease me.
Someone who lives between Coronation Boulevard and the Canadian Pacific tracks wrote a letter into the Cambridge Times complaining about the noise of shunting that takes place all the time along the tracks and at the railway yard in Galt. How much do you want to bet that the trains have been there a lot longer than he has? Yes, it's gotten a lot busier since the Toyota plant expanded, but that doesn't mean that the yard has never been there. If you move into a house next to the railway tracks, you take that chance.
I, on the other hand, wouldn't mind having a house near the railway tracks. There are several luxury apartment buildings along the CPR line that I wouldn't mind having an apartment in when I can afford it some day.
