Well, this semester's off to a roaring start.

I'm taking three classes this semester: an online course in modern German history, a seminar course in Indian history from the beginnings of the Raj to independence, and a seminar course in 'Canadian Political History' (which is as bad as I was afraid it would be).

The German class isn't quite what I was hoping to take--I had to switch into it because I had a class conflict. The seminar courses, however, are horrible. Each student has to take a turn conducting the class, which means I'll be flying solo for one class. In Indian history this won't be so bad as I'll be doing it for about an hour and a quarter and I'll have the week off to prepare for it. In Canadian history, however, I'm expected to do it for THREE HOURS! I was going to have a partner, but she dropped the course, meaning I have to do it all on my own. On top of that, I have to write 15-page essays for both of them, a six-page essay in Canadian about the readings for my class, and a proposal for my Canadian essay by the beginning of next month, and I don't have a clue what I'll write about. not to mention keep up with all the reading.

This is going to be a very bad semester...
