Got a partner for my seminar, got the readings done, got the questions ready...now we just need to run the seminar next week! I think I've got a pretty good idea for the essay for that class, too. Working on the essay for my Indian class might take a while longer. And I need to catch up on my German class--I've really been neglecting that one. Out of sight, out of mind.

I've got an interview for a volunteer spot at the Waterloo Regional Children's Museum on Friday to get more arts experience and an interview for Humber on the fourth of February. I need to get ready for both of those. I have a feeling my chances will be a little better at University of Windsor, though. The program is less rigorous and the economic climate isn't that good, so there should be a good chance their low standards will let me through. Getting a work placement might be though, though...

Oscar, our new baby, had a little off the bottom yesterday. He's full of energy again, though! It's like he never had any surgery.

In other news, what's up with the Cambridge Times? Their opinions and letters section has turned into a holy war. The bulk of the letters are people arguing over the Bible. There are more pressing things in this town to argue pointlessly over.

Jeopardy clue: Canada uses a letter-number-letter-number-letter-number postal code; his is H0H 0H0

Contestant: "Who is the prime minister?"

*headdesk*

And, courtesy of the BBC

"The world's first commercial cargo ship partially powered by a giant kite is setting sail from Germany to Venezuela."

Holy crap, they invented the sailboat!
