Perfect...

Well, I was planning to go to Toronto tomorrow with my mother so we could do a few things--she wanted to get some rings resized and I wanted to visit a stationer's store that sells bottled fountain pen ink. However, our plans were brought to an abrupt end by the two words that send a shiver down the spine of every commuter:

Transit strike.

We're not going anywhere...

The raccoon's back

He's poking his nose around the back door, and managed to pull the screen door open (the sliding glass door was open at the time). Either this animal is particularly clever, or he knows his way around a house!

My sheets are in the wash for the second time in two days. I'm covered in bites from fleas brought in by the cats and they've been crawling around in our beds. Got two more last night, so hopefully this will kill them for good.
