Interesting turn of events
May. 30th, 2009 11:25 pmFor the first time since the 1920s, there's a (partially) Canadian car company in the world again (Bricklin doesn't count!). All thanks to Magna International's purchase of 20% of GM Europe. The CEO also announced that he wants to build some of their cars in Canada under the Opel brand. I wouldn't mind a few cars under the Vauxhall label, but as long as small, reasonably-priced cars are being made in Canadian factories, nobody's going to complain!
