Weird...

Any dental surgery veterans are welcome to comment here: how long is freezing supposed to last? My lower lip and lower front teeth still feel tingly to the touch and it's been more than a day since my surgery.

In other news, I'm losing my voice because I did a lot of coughing this morning (the final stage of my cold arriving at last). A good night's sleep should take care of that, assuming I'm allowed that luxury tonight.

Pill time!

if it's not better by morning...

call your dentist. when I had my wisdom teeth done, I was not completely back up to speed for 72 hours. I was, though, working at 48 in a LOT of pain...

I think that's pretty normal... it should slowly wear off. I think the freezing for me didn't totally wear off for a couple days or more (wisdom teeth)

Also I had a surgery in Feb... it was near my armpits (nerve clipping) and one patch of that was a little numb for weeks which they said wasn't a huge deal.

Most of my novocain jobs wore off within the day. I've had times where my sinus cavitites still felt tingly and numb the next day (I assume you had mere novocain? Or was it something different?)

I do know that things are a bit different when you're actually put under (were you?) Heh. Needless to say, I'm taking a whole week off of work when I have them all pulled in September. =D

I don't know what they had--it was by IV, I know that. I thought I heard something to do with 'pam' or 'pan' but I don't think it was diazapan (sp?)

I'm with MLD on this. At least share your concern with the dentist. A follow-up exam might be in order.
