Canada's oldest mayor, 90-year-old mayor of Mississauga Hazel McCallion, was recently feted by Mike Huckabee on his show on Fox News. Among the accomplishments celebrated were her ability to eliminate Mississauga's debt and keep the budget balanced (they have been debt free for over thirty years). At one point he wished she could run for the US presidency, calling it unfortunate that her birth certificate was Canadian.
Hurricane Hazel's reply? “Not unfortunate it's Canadian, very fortunate it's Canadian.”
90 years old and she can still think on her feet!
