What a depressing day...

I had to get up early for school, something that is even harder to do in winter when the world is very cold but the bed is very warm. Since we had a bad case of freezing rain in the night, I checked the university website to see if the awful weather had resulted in a closure. No dice, even though city buses were not operating.
Half an hour drive to school. Ten minutes walking along icy and unsalted and unsanded sidewalks to get to my class. I get to my lecture hall, and on the door is the white paper of death:
"This class is cancelled by the lecturer due to the inclement weather."
!@^&($)%@@#$@#!!!!!
I trudge over to the library to go online. At least I can use the wireless internet while I'm there. A while later, I go back to my car. When I get there, I remember I had a textbook from last semester with me to sell back to the school. I leave my bag behind and slide my way to the university bookstore. They won't buy it back because it was sold bundled with another book--which I'm still using.
Double !@^&($)%@@#$@#!!!!!
I make my way to the student-run book store in another building to give it to their book buy-back.
Price to me: C$93.63
Price to them: C$ 4.50
Triple !@^&($)%@@#$@#!!!!!
I go back to my car and drive to the mall near the university. The store doesn't have what I'm looking for.
Half an hour drive to the bank to cash a sales-tax refund cheque for 56 dollars--the high point of my day.
Ten minutes home and into pyjamas and into bed with my laptop. As far as I was concerned, the day was over.
I was rather "irked" by the day's events, and ended up taking it out on an online friend that I was talking to. I gave them my strongest apologies, but I still feel bad.
Did some writing for the comic today. The timing was good, as what I was writing required a bad mood.
Off to bed. Maybe I'll wake up and find out that yesterday never happened--but I still have a completed script and a cashed cheque.
